A Houma man is facing two counts of first-degree rape after Terrebonne Parish deputies say he sexually abused a 10-year-old.
Lawrence Voisin, 53, remains in jail on $250,00 dollars bond.
According to investigators, the victim reported the abuse to a school official, who then notified authorities. Deputies say the evidence they obtained from the victim backed up the victim's claims, leading them to arrest Voisin at his home.
Deputies say because of the nature of the case, they will not release any information about the relationship between Voisin and the victim.
