Tangipahoa Parish authorities are asking for the public to help them find a suspect who stole tens of thousands of dollars of cigarettes from a Hammond gas station.
The sheriff's office says the suspect entered the Circle K on South Morrison at Club Deluxe Road around 8:30 a.m. Thursday and loaded two duffel bags with merchandise.
The suspect stole $17,000 worth of goods, mainly Newport, Marlboro and Kool cigarettes.
The thief also stole $2,300 in cash.
