More than 7,200 Entergy customers lost power in Metairie this afternoon.
According to the Entergy power outage web site, the outage began shortly before 3:30 p.m.
No cause was given for the outage.
Entergy is estimating restoration at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The outages are concentrated in the area between Causeway and Houma Boulevard, between W. Napoleon and I-10, with further outages along Houma Blvd. and Cleary Ave.
