A deadly car crash Friday night in St. Landry Parish took the lives of four people, including three siblings, according to Louisiana State Police.

Lindy Rae Simmons, 20, was driving her 16-year-old brother Christopher and 14-year-old sister Kamryn, as well as two other passengers, in a 2017 Cadillac in the southbound lane of I-49 when they were hit head-on by a pickup truck.

John Lundy, 54, was driving his 2005 Chevrolet Colorado in the wrong direction on the interstate and was also killed by the impact.

Both drivers were pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Both Christopher and Kamryn Simmons died later at area hospitals.

The two other passengers in the Simmons Cadillac were identified as the siblings’ mother Dawn and Christopher’s girlfriend Marissa by Katie DeRouen, an older sister of the three Simmons siblings. They are currently in critical condition. The crash remains under investigation as the Louisiana State Police await the results of toxicology samples.

A GoFundMe has been set up for the Simmons family.
