School’s wrapping up and the summer travel season is upon us and this year will NOT be like last year.
The Triple A’s Don Redman says American’s are chomping at the bit to hit the road for a vacation this summer season:
“We’re all looking forward to getting out and travelling this year,” Redman says. “I certainly believe we will see a good number of people travelling this year, certainly more than we saw in 2020 when the rest of the nation was still under lockdown.”
Redman says though gas prices will be about a dollar higher than last year, that’s not stopping Americans from travelling.
He says there’s a pent up feeling for real escape, “They lost vacation in 2020, I mean it was a really bleak time and I think Americans are anxious to get out. Now, I’m not forecasting record numbers, but certainly more than we saw in 2020.”
Triple-A’s travel expert talked about how to go about putting together your next big summer vacation.
“If you’re making any big travel plans, cruises, long distance trips, I highly recommend that you see a travel advisor to help you navigate the COVID restrictions and requirements.”
The travel season of 2021 isn’t going to be like any other as it’s the first post-pandemic summer. To help you get the most out of your travel dollar, the Redman recommends all people planning major summer time travel to get a travel advisor to help you,
“It’s a big investment when you make these big cruises and international travel and we certainly don’t want you to lose out on that,” Redman says. “I strongly recommend an advisor to help you navigate everything, to get out of the country and to get back into the country…”
