A man wanted in Pennsylvania on first-degree murder and other charges is in jail after Louisiana State Police caught him after a high-speed chase through New Orleans.
State troopers say that chase started after the driver of an SUV refused to stop after being pulled over for traffic violations near North Roman and Elysian Fields. According to investigators, the driver, Danny Daniels, and his passenger, A’Juan Preston, later abandoned the car and ran away from law enforcement. Troopers, along with FBI agents and officers from the New Orleans Police Department and New Orleans Harbor Police, later caught the pair and took them into custody.
Daniels, of Marcus Hook, Pennsylvania, is facing multiple drugs, guns, and traffic charges in New Orleans in addition to the out-of-state murder charge. Preston, of New Orleans, is also facing drugs and guns charges as well as a resisting arrest charge.
