Tropical Depression Two forms in Atlantic

Today, Tropical Depression Two forms off the coast of North Carolina and is heading out to sea says National Hurricane Center forecasters.

Tropical Depression Two is about 105 miles east of Cape Hatteras, North Carolina. The storm’s maximum sustained winds are 35 mph and is currently moving northeast at 21 mph.


There are currently no coastal watches or warnings in effect and the storm is expected to move away from the United States.

Forecasters say the system should begin to weaken by Tuesday night and is expected to dissipate on Wednesday.
