UPDATE 2:20 p.m.: Tropical Storm Bertha made landfall in St. Bernard Parish with winds of 45 miles per hour.
Federal forecasters do not expect Tropical Storm Bertha to bring much rain, if any at all to Southeast Louisiana.
The Weather Prediction Center now calls for less than two inches along the Louisiana Coast and no rain inland.
Coastal communities are more likely to see some isolated flooding from storm surge and the tide.
The National Hurricane Center cautions the combination may "cause normally dry areas near the immediate coast to be flooded by rising waters moving inland from the shoreline."
Elsewhere, gusty winds could cause isolated problems.
"Tropical storm conditions will continue spreading across portions of the northern Gulf Coast within the warning area today."
Bertha's forecast track brings the storm over Plaquemines Parish and Lower Jefferson today on a path that calls for landfall near Houston, TX tomorrow.
