A person was stabbed on the sidewalk near Tulane University’s downtown medical campus.
It happened about 12:24 am in the 1300 block of Tulane Avenue.
In a statement, a Tulane University spokesperson says, “Earlier today, at approximately 0024 hours, a non-affiliate patient presented to the Tulane Hospital Emergency Department suffering from multiple knife wounds. Investigation into the incident revealed that an aggravated assault with a knife incident occurred on the sidewalk in front of the J. Bennet Johnston Building located at 1324 Tulane Avenue on the Downtown Campus. TUPD officers attended to the subject who was unresponsive at the time.”
No information related to the perpetrator was able to be retrieved from the victim.
