Two people are dead after stopping to help a driver in a single car crash on eastbound US 90B in Harvey last night.
The accident took place near the intersection with MacArthur Avenue in Jefferson Parish.
A number of cars stopped to help, as the people were out of their cars trying to help the stricken driver, a Ford Expedition driving east hit the pedestrians severe injuring many.
A woman identified as 53-year-old Ruby Roman of Harvey and an unidentified man were killed.
The driver of the Expedition was properly restrained and uninjured.
Impairment on part of the driver of the Expedition is not suspected.
