Two people, including a teen-aged girl, are dead after two separate Sunday homicides in New Orleans.
The first happened around 5:40 p.m. on the I-10 Service Road between Bullard Avenue and I-510. According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, officers found two victims, a 15-year-old girl and an 11-year-old boy, at the scene when they arrived. The 15-year-old girl died at the scene. The 11-year-old boy was taken to a hospital, where his condition is reportedly stable.
The other happened just before 6 p.m. on Poydras Street near Broad Street. An NOPD spokesperson says officers found two victims when they arrived on scene. One of the victims in that shooting died at the scene. The other victim’s condition was not disclosed.
