Louisiana State police have arrested two suspects for allegedly selling counterfeit Brake Tags and temporary license plates according to an LSP report.

State police say they have arrested 30-year-old Louvenia Allen of Baton Rouge and 34-year-old Yakevia Hicks of New Orleans.

They say the accused suspects were selling the fraudulent motor vehicle inspection stickers and temporary license plates through Facebook Marketplace.

“The preliminary investigation revealed Allen and Hicks were selling fraudulent MVI Stickers and Louisiana Temporary License Plates on various social media outlets under the screen names Kellz Goated and Big Kellz, says an LSP report. “Through the investigation, Troopers were able to positively identify Allen and Hicks as the suspects linked to the aforementioned screen names.”

Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Allen and Hicks for Forgery of a Motor Vehicle Inspection Certificate, Computer Fraud, and Criminal Conspiracy.

State troopers arrested Allen and Hicks on Thursday and transported them to the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison where they were booked accordingly.

This is an active investigation and no further information is available at this time.
