The NOPD is investigating a double shooting at the Marquis apartments in the 2600 block of Poydras Street.
Initial reports show a 16-year-old juvenile male and an 18-year-old male sustained gunshot wounds during this incident. They were transported by EMS to the hospital after sustaining multiple gunshot wounds. NOPD reported the shooting at about 7:00 pm Monday evening.
According to New Orleans City Councils’ Crime Dashboard, shootings in the Tulane-Gravier area are up 133% for this year. So far, there have been seven shootings, up from last years’ three.
