UPDATE: NOPD says that the earlier listed person of interest in this investigation has been positively identified as Shayla Bradley. "As stated earlier, Bradley is not currently wanted on criminal charges in this investigation. However, she is sought for questioning as she was seen fleeing the scene with the male suspected perpetrator, who also remains at large."

Person of Interest

NOPD is seeking to locate a suspect and a person of interest in the investigation of an aggravated battery by shooting that occurred in the 700 block of Canal Street.

Eighth District detectives determined that at about 1:40 a.m., the pictured male subject allegedly shot two male victims during a verbal altercation.

The suspect and the pictured female subject then reportedly fled the scene on foot.

The female subject is considered a person of interest and is not currently wanted on criminal charges.

However, detectives wish to question her regarding knowledge she has of this incident.

The Gunfire erupted at one of the busiest corners in New Orleans early this morning.

The violence broke out just before 2am.

One of two men walking along Canal Street when one of them got into a verbal altercation with a woman who was accompanied by other women and another man.

The man with the women produced a gun and shot the two men.

The women and suspect then fled the scene.

Both injured victims were taken to a hospital by EMS.

This is one of four overnight shootings to take place across New Orleans.
