NOPD say bullets were flying on the elevated Pontchartrain Expressway early Monday morning.
"The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a shooting on US 90 at the Tchoupitoulas Exit," Officer Reese Harper said in an email.
Initial reports show that two men sustained gunshot wounds to their bodies.
"The victims were transported to a local hospital via private conveyance. The initial call was made at 4:15 A.M."
Haprer did not release any further details. An initial police report said, "The victims heard gunshots while traveling and subsequently realized they were shot. The victims transported themselves to a local hospital in a private vehicle."
It came just hours after another shooting that left two teens dead and four more wounded in the 2000 block of Maurice Street.
