New Orleans Police are investigating a double shooting on South Claiborne Avenue near the intersection of Jackson Avenue.
Officers initially responded to reports of a man shot in the head at the scene around 1am.
Upon arrival they found a second victim suffering from a gunshot wound.
Both were transported to a hospital.
The victims reported to police they were approached by the suspect who opened fire on them.
NOPD is searching the area looking for the suspect.
No arrest has been made.
