Two people are recovering after a weekend shooting in Madisonville.
According to the St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, the shooting happened around 10 p.m. in the area of Perrilloux Road and LA 22.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they couldn’t find anyone in that area. However, about 30 minutes later, they confirmed that the shooting happened when personnel from a local hospital called to report two people suffering from gunshot wounds had reported to their facility.
Deputies are still investigating the case. According to investigators, the suspects and the victims all know each other. They also say the attack may have been targeted.
