Members of the New Orleans Police Department are investigating a shooting that left a 31-year-old male dead and a 31-year-old male shot.
The offense occurred in the parking lot of a business in the 8700 block of South Claiborne Avenue.
At approximately 12:54 pm., Second District officers responded to a call of a shooting and upon their arrival were alerted by citizens of two victims that were shot on Monroe Street.
Emergency Medical Services arrived on the scene and transported both victims to the hospital. One victim later died at the hospital.
Officers learned that both victims ran from the location of the shooting to Monroe Street where police located them.
