A man is in the hospital after New Orleans police say he was shot in the Upper Ninth Ward.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, that shooting happened around 10:30 p.m. Saturday on Benefit Street near Gordon Plaza Drive. Police say they learned of the shooting after the victim arrived at a hospital to seek treatment. The victim's condition is unknown.
