NOPD reports a shootout in Uptown near Touro Hospital leaves one wounded.
The shooting occurred on the 3400 block of Prytania around 3 today. According to WWL TV, NOPD detectives reportedly obtained the gun believed to be used in the shooting by searching a nearby storm drain.
Initial police reports say one adult male victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for a graze wound.
The shooting resulted in the closing of parts of Delachaise and Prytania streets that surround the Touro Infirmary.
NOPD detectives are in the process of gathering information to identify whoever may be responsible for the shooting.
