A pedestrian walking through the St. Tammany Parish Hospital parking lot found himself in the hopsital after a shuttle van hit him.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
According to Covington police, the 14-passenger van made a left turn into a marked crosswalk when it struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian reportedly suffered severe injuries. Three passengers were inside the van at the time of the crash. Police say they were not hurt.
The crash remains under investigation.
