A vehicle burst into flames on the Causeway.
The Greater New Orleans Expressway Commission says cops shut down the Causeway from the Southshore to the Northshore.
"The Causeway - Northbound is closed at this time," according to an advisory sent at 6:10am.
Causeway General Manager Carlton Dufrechou told WWL First News they hoped to have traffic moving again around 7:00am.
It did reopen at 6:53am.
