
Bunny Matthews, local artist and cartoonist who created the comic strip characters Vic and Nat’ly, dies at age 70.
Matthews passed away at the Wynhoven Health Center due to complications from cancer The Times-Picayune | New Orleans Advocate reports.
Matthews is credited with capturing the N’awlins essence in his satirical comic strips, which lived in the pages of The Times-Picayune in the early ’80s. Matthews is survived by his sons Noah and Jude.
