Kenner police say an elderly driver appeared confused and disoriented, after crashing through a strip mall in the 300 block of West Esplanade.

WWL-TV got video of the incident, which happened around 9 a.m. Tuesday.

Cops say the driver was trying to park in front of Babin Physical Therapy, but accelerated forward, jump the curb, and smashed a column. The driver then backed up, turned around 180 degrees, and continued backing up into the business next door, then sped out of the building.

Kenner police caught up with the driver and say he was unable to answer basic questions and appeared to be suffering from an unknown medical condition.

The incident remains under investigation.
