Cops had a busy Sunday in New Orleans with a spike in violent crime.
The day ended with a murder around 11:00pm.
"Members of the New Orleans Police Department have arrested 19-year-old Jayden Woods Sr for Second-Degree Murder of a 42-year-old man. Police arrested Woods just moments after incident."
The news release from NOPD said the shooting happened in the 4100 block of General Degaulle Drive.
"EMS pronounced the man dead on scene... The preliminary investigation indicates that this offense stemmed from a domestic dispute."
About an hour earlier there was a deadly shooting in the 2400 block of North Villere Street.
Officer Reese Harper said in an email, "Initial reports show that a man sustained at least one gunshot wound to his body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. The initial call was made at 10:08 P.M."
Around the same time, bullets were flying near the intersection of North Claiborne and Esplanade Avenues.

Earlier in the day Sunday, there was gunfire in the 4700 block of Raymond Joseph Drive.
"Initial reports show that a woman sustained at least one gunshot wound to her body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. The initial call was made at 4:51 P.M."
A few hours before that, a 56-year-old woman was found dead.
"The New Orleans Police Department is investigating a Homicide that occurred at the intersection of Florida Boulevard and New Orleans Street."
Harper says that call came in just after two o' clock Sunday afternoon.
"According to investigators, Fifth District officers responded to a call of a body found in the canal and upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from blunt force trauma to her body. Emergency Medical Technicians pronounced the woman dead on scene."
The Sunday violence started just minutes into the day with a stabbing around 12:30am.
That happened in the 12300 Block of S I-10 Service Rd. in New Orleans East. The victim is a 50-year-old man.
"The victim suffered multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital."
The violence continued into early Monday morning with a shooting in the 600 block of North Rampart Street.
"Initial reports show that a man sustained at least one gunshot wound to his body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital. The initial call was made at 1:22 A.M."
