Crab Island, the most popular boating destination in Destin, Fla., seems like the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sun and waves. However, at least some people there weren’t feeling very chill.
A video circulating online appears to show a group of people fighting in the water, with screaming heard in the background.
According to a Friday report from KTDY the video is “from a few weeks back” – it linked to a video shared by the X (Twitter) account “Fights & Wild content”.
In the 45-second clip, a group of four (two women and two men) can be seen standing in the water. It looks as if one of the women started attacking the other. One of the men moved to stop her, and she began attacking him. The other man from the group then moved to pull them apart.
At that point, a group of four men who were standing nearby moved to break up the fight. One of these men appears to approach the man from the first group that the woman attacked, and that man then threw a punch at the man from the new group.
As those two men started fighting, more people jumped off a nearby boat and joined the throng. By the end of the clip, everyone had stopped fighting.
“Bruh fighting in the water is outrageous,” said the post caption. “People need help!”
While it appears that the video may be from some time ago, the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office still recommends people be careful of hazards in the Gulf and sharks.
