Ever want to watch planes take off and land from New Orleans Louis Armstrong International Airport but just don't have the time to make the drive?
Now aviation fans can geek out to everything from tiny Cessnas to business jets to commercial long-haulers to a massive Antonov cargo jet on a live stream from the planespotting web site Flightradar24.
The live stream began May 14 using an automated plane tracking system known as PlaneTracker App. It tracks arriving and departing flights from a camera overlooking the airfield near MSY's runway 11.
The tracking isn't fool proof: many commenters on the feed were disappointed that the camera largely missed the takeoff roll of an AN-124 as it departed New Orleans.
