Officials today announced that residents and businesses in LaPlace no longer need to boil tap water before consuming it.
"The Boil Water Advisory for LaPlace is now lifted, Thursday, April 27th. Test results received from the Department of Health are clear and the Boil Water is lifted," according to a news release.
Crews busted a water line earlier this week, causing a drop in pressure. Per procedure, St. John Parish officials had to send test samples to the health department to confirm contaminants did not enter the system.
