The Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office announces they will begin mailing the 2021 property tax payment notices to Jefferson Parish residents and businesses starting next week.
Starting Monday, the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office Bureau of Revenue and Taxation will mail out 185,509 property tax payment notices.

Payments made on or postmarked by January 3, 2022, will not incur delinquent interest charges according to the sheriff’s office. Residential and commercial property owners who have not received a tax notice in the mail by December 15, 2021, should contact our office for assistance.
The tax notice format is unchanged from last year and provides information on a variety of issues including mortgage companies and escrow accounts, filing for a homestead exemption, changes to the mailing address, and questions regarding your tax assessment.
Taxpayers are asked to enclose the payment stub along with their remittance to ensure proper credit. A self-addressed envelope is included with each tax notice.
