New Orleans police say a man is dead after early morning gunfire on the Crescent City Connection.
"At about 1:03 a.m., NOPD Officers responded to a call of a shooting," according to a news release. "Officers were advised an adult male was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds."
He died shortly after that.
"Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information."
Witnesses say people in several vehicles were shooting at each other on the bridge over the Mississippi River.
