Rescue crews hoisted a woman from a cruise ship off the Louisiana coast this weekend.

"The Coast Guard medevaced a 67-year-old woman, Saturday, from a cruise ship approximately 95 miles south of Southwest Pass, Louisiana," the Coast Guard said in a news release.

The ship's doctor called the Coast Guard Saturday around 1:30pm.

"A passenger aboard the cruise ship was experiencing unexplained seizures."

Coast Guard Air Station New Orleans launched a helicopter.

"The Jayhawk helicopter aircrew arrived on scene, hoisted the woman, portable manual ventilator, and ship's nurse and transported them to West Jefferson Hospital."

The passenger was last reported in stable condition.
