New Orleans Police say someone shot two people overnight.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 2900 block of New Orleans Street," Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney said in an email. "Initial reports show two victims, one male and one female, having sustained gunshot wounds."
The call came in shortly before midnight.
"Initial notification was received at about 11:42 p.m."
Looney did not say the victims' conditions nor if there were any suspects.
"Updates will be provided as further information becomes available."
