Police in New Orleans are investigating a fatal shooting in Gentilly Monday morning.
Investigators say the shooting happened in the 6000 block of Music Street on Tuesday just before midnight.
When responding officers arrived, they found an unresponsive female inside of a vehicle in the driver seat. The victim was suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.
Investigators are working the scene gathering evidence and working to find a suspect or motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will release the victim's name and the official cause of death, once an autopsy is completed and notification of family.
