New Orleans police are investigating a homicide in Central City.
Investigators say it happened at about 2:45 a.m. Saturday morning in the 3000 block of South Saratoga Street.
“Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive female subject lying on the sidewalk.
The victim was declared deceased at the scene,” says an NOPD report.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person or persons responsible for the fatal shooting, as well as a motive.
No additional details are available at this time.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will identify the victim and official cause of death once an autopsy is complete and the family is notified.
