NOPD is trying to figure out who shot and killed a woman Fat Tuesday night.
"Members of the New Orleans Police Department’s Homicide Section are investigating a Homicide that left a 50-year-old woman dead," according to a news release. "The offense occurred shortly after 9:30 P.M., in the 1500 block North Claiborne Avenue."
ER doctors tried to save the woman's life.
"According to investigators, the victim sustained a gunshot wound to her body and was transported to a local hospital where she later died."
No word on any suspects or motive.
