Cops say bullets were flying Sunday afternoon near the I-10 on Frenchman Street in New Orleans.
"We are currently investigating a shooting in the 2000 block of Frenchmen St.," Public Information Officer Garry Flot said in an email.
There were few details.
"An adult female was shot to the leg."
It comes amid a spike in shootings in the city. The New Orleans City Council Criminal Justice Committee Crime Dashboard shows a 71% increase in shootings.
