New Orleans Police say a woman is hospitalized after a shooting in the 1500 block of Esplanade Avenue Sunday night.
"We are currently investigating a shooting," NOPD Public Information Officer Garry Flot said in an email. "An adult female was shot."
The notification came in just after 8:30pm.
"She was transported to the hospital in stable condition."
Police did not initially release any more information.
The reported scene of the shooting is between North Claiborne and North Robertson Avenues.
