
Two women are in the Terrebonne Parish Jail after deputies say they attacked them during a fight over Thanksgiving weekend.
According to Sheriff Tim Soignet, deputies were trying to clear a group people out of a parking lot on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Schriever when a woman became “verbally and physically combative” with them. That woman, Antoinette Miller, 28, punched a deputy while they were trying to take her into custody. A second woman, Janay Smith, allegedly pushed deputies in an attempt to get them away from Miller.
Miller and Smith are both facing battery of a police officer charges. Miller is also facing entering and remaining after forbidden and resisting an officer charges.
