Someone’s apparent plans to add a little extra kick to their crawfish recipe got foiled recently by TSA officers at Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport when agents seized a jar of Zatarain’s that certainly wasn’t factory fresh.

The container purported to be Zatarain’s Ultimate Crawfish, Shrimp & Crab Boil actually contained a bag of crystal meth wrapped in blue painter’s tape that a traveler tried to hide amidst the seasoning.

The misguided attempt at concealment of an illegal substance was revealed on the official TSA Instagram account.

“This is no way to speed through security… There was definitely something fishy about this container,” the caption read.

“If you’re looking to take your favorite cooking powder, it’s generally good to go,” the photo’s caption continued. “It’s recommended that anything over 12oz be removed from your carry-on, and placed in a separate bin for X-ray screening. This way we can all keep calm and curry-on!”

The would-be spicy smuggler was arrested and will now face federal charges.
