The bad news for local wrestling fans: WWE's Money in the Bank will not take place on Saturday, September 6.
The good news: The premium live event will now take place in the Smoothie King Center on October 10.
WWE announced the schedule change on Monday. However, WWE officials did not say why the card was pushed back one month.
WWE awarded Money in the Bank to New Orleans last year after the promotion withdrew WrestleMania XLII from the Superdome and moved it to Las Vegas. As part of the agreement to move the spring supercard, WWE promised New Orleans a future WrestleMania and granted the Smoothie King Center the 2025 edition of Money in the Bank.
Tickets for the show go on sale on Friday, July 10.
