The next few days are immensely important for Louisiana and the Gulf South.
Throughout the rest of this week, the broader community will gather in person and over the airwaves to support and uplift the hundreds of thousands of children who will receive critical care from Manning Family Children’s this coming year.
Last year, WWL AM-FM, Bayou 95.7, and Magic 101.9 partnered with Manning Family Children’s to raise $157,000 during its 4th annual Light Up The Season Radiothon. We heard from an extensive lineup of special guests, patients, parents of patients, doctors, community leaders, and specialists. Each guest shared their unique story that represented the larger fabric of life-changing work that happens each hour of every day in the waiting rooms, emergency care units, and hallways of Manning Family Children’s facilities.
This year, WWL and Audacy stations are again partnering with Manning Family Children’s, along with our partners from the Ray & Jessica Brandt Family Foundation and Trane South.
But most importantly, we couldn’t do this without YOU.
Every cent of every donation goes toward sustaining the 3,000 employees, 600 pediatric-trained providers/specialists who staff these world-class, life-giving programs across 30 satellite locations. These programs, many of which received recognition as among the best in the nation, include: The Center for Cancer and Blood Disorders, Neonatology, Pulmonology, Rehabilitation programs, Behavioral Health, Trauma and Grief centers, just to name a few.

SportsTalk will also have a special broadcast live from Manning Family Children's until 8 pm. This show features Bobby Hebert, Archie Manning, Deuce McAllister, Mike Dettilier, and Steve Geller live, on-site. We’ll also hear from Drew Brees, Eli Manning, and Cooper Manning.
