This weekend kicks off a new college football season and if you don’t follow the sport closely, there’s one important thing you need to know: there are few things people are more passionate about than their college football team.
In fact, a new survey conducted by Vrbo found that people are even willing to sacrifice friendships in the name of college football.
According to PR Newsire, 60% of people would admit to completely cutting out their friends, and even family members, who support rival teams especially if it meant their team winning the National Championship!
Vrbo also analyzed “traveler demand and vacation home inventory” in the top college football destinations across the country, and found that the most passionate college football towns include: Baton Rouge, Louisiana; Norman, Oklahoma; Tuscaloosa, Alabama; Oxford, Mississippi; College Station, Texas; Clemson, South Carolina; Notre Dame, Indiana; University Park, Pennsylvania: Athens, Georgia; Auburn, Alabama; Knoxville, Tennessee; Ann Arbor, Michigan; Austin, Texas; Columbus, Ohio; and Eugene, Oregon.
