LSU Tiger fan and Louisiana native Lil Wayne took to social media on Saturday night following the team’s 32-31 overtime win over Alabama.
The team, which was expected to finish among the worst in the conference after a rocky start to their season, has turned their season around under first-year head coach Brian Kelly, and the rap superstar let his followers know his support for Kelly.
“Hope Brian use his southern accent at the podium,” Lil Wayne tweeted.
The team is now expected to jump further up the College Football Playoff rankings after being put in the No. 10 spot heading into Saturday.
The Tigers now have control over the SEC West with wins over both of the school’s rivals, Ole Miss and Alabama. The victories could be a deciding factor when it comes to playing in Atlanta when the season ends.
