FREDRICKTOWN, Mo. (KMOX) - Authorities in a rural Missouri town shared a photo of what's been determined to be a very unfunny prank.
Sheriff Casey A. Graham of the Bollinger County Sheriff's Office called it a "rather a disturbing and unnecessary prank." His officers responded to a call that a possible human body was found in an area known as Artesian Well, near Bollinger County Road 872. EMS, Fire Protection and Sheriff's officials were all dispatched to the location.
Graham says they discovered immediately that it was not a human body, but "rather a disturbing and unnecessary prank."
"At the top of it, a Dollar General bag was placed over what they attempted to make look like a head, or the shape of a head. The large majority of it was more-so shaped as it was wrapped whole. There weren't arms but they did add the human clothing, obviously."

Two boots were also attached at the bottom.
"It tied up a lot of emergency personnel, three different entities. So, it's something we do take very seriously," he says.
They are now investigating the prank and ask for anyone with information to call the Bollinger County Sheriff’s Office at (573) 238-2633.
