Residents in New Orleans are allowed to park their vehicles on neutral grounds and sidewalks ahead of possible flooding due to heavy rain.
NOLA Ready Emergency Alert System sent out an alert Monday.
Heavy rain could cause street flooding in low-lying areas. Neutral ground parking allowed until further notice.
The city of New Orleans asks residents not to block intersections, streetcar tracks, sidewalks, or bike paths when parking their vehicles on higher ground.
City officials remind residents to not drive through floodwaters because It is dangerous and can push water into nearby homes and businesses.
