A shocking, violent altercation took place in the driveway of a Mississippi grandmother Friday when armed carjackers attempted to steal her car at gunpoint with her grandchildren still inside.
The woman’s doorbell camera recorded the entire incident and shows a pair of men pointing a gun at Heather Allen as they approach her and her adult son in the driveway of her home.
The sound of a gunshot can be heard in the footage as the woman and her son duck behind the car.
At that point, one of the men pulls Allen’s daughter from the car through the driver’s door and proceeds to get in. He then points the gun in the face of Allen’s other son, who was also in the car.
“He jumps in the driver’s seat, I’m standing on the outside looking in, and he points a gun at my oldest boy’s face,” Allen told WAPT.
He ran out but Allen’s daughter’s young children were still in the back.
“My daughter was like, ‘My babies, my babies are in the car,'” Allen said, getting emotional.
Allen began getting the two young children out of that car and threw the keys to her own car at the carjackers. They got into that car, which was parked on the lawn, and drove off.
Police told WAPT that they recovered that car largely undamaged a couple of blocks away about 40 minutes after the incident took place. It is currently being processed for evidence.
So far, no arrests have been made.
