Drax the Destroyer, or Dave Bautista as he’s known off the screen, is looking for someone who is responsible for abusing a puppy in Florida.

The actor published an Instagram post earlier this month that included numerous disturbing photos of an American Staffordshire terrier named Sage, who was severely abused.
Bautista shared that he will give a monetary reward for the name of the person who abused the puppy.
“I will personally hand $5000 cash to the person who gives information leading to the arrest and conviction of the sick piece of shit responsible for this,” Bautista said in his post.
He also added that the Tampa Bay Humane Society was offering an additional $1,500 reward.
The director of marketing for the Tampa Bay Humane Society, Maria Matlack, shared with HuffPost how the dog came into their care.
“Sage came to us after she was found by a good samaritan in a cemetery eating trash,” Matlack said.
“She had an awful open wound on her neck with a chain embedded in her skin with a chain dangling,” Matlack added. “It was very disturbing.”
A dog trainer who works with Bautista, Luis Safe, shared how mad the injuries to Sage were.
“When a dog has an embedded chain, they’re literally growing into the chain,” Safe said. “So she had to be in the chain for at least a couple of weeks.”
Sage underwent immediate surgery to remove the chain, and last Friday, Bautista shared that they were still looking for the dog’s abuser.
He also shared in an Instagram post that he had adopted the dog and renamed her Penny.
“Please don’t make her story an exception,” Bautista wrote in the caption.
