Bed Bath & Beyond is getting ready to close stores across the nation as part of a restructuring plan to deal with challenges brought on by the pandemic.

News of the closures comes ahead of a planned release of the company's quarterly earnings Thursday morning.

The home goods retailer announced in July 2020 that it was closing approximately 200 stores, roughly 21% of its locations, by 2022 due to losses of sales when the pandemic first began.
