As of Thursday, wait times for some signature coasters at Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky, Ohio were up to 85 minutes long, according to Queue Times.

Earlier in the week, patrons of the park waited in line just to walk down 200 feet. Tony Clark, director of communications, told Fox News Digital that the Magnum XL-200 roller coaster seized up due to a “check engine light” situation and that it could not be restarted.

This coaster was “the first hyper-coaster and first ever coaster to top 200 feet,” when it debuted in 1989 – it has been recognized by Guinness World Records and other groups. It is 205 feet tall and travels at 72 mph and lasts for two minutes and 45 seconds.

Clark said the “standard ride stoppage” issue triggered a guest evacuation of the ride Monday. As of Thursday, it was closed, per Queue Times.

“Josh Lett, who saw the evacuation, told Fox News Digital he hasn't seen anything similar to this happen before,” said the outlet.

Last week, Audacy reported that another Cedar Point guest suffered a concussion when a phone hit them in the head while riding the Maverick roller coaster. Guests are told not to take items like cell phones on rides.

Another ride linked to an injury at Cedar Point – the Top Thrill Dragster – has been closed for two seasons. This week, the park announced that it would open a revamped version of the coaster called the Top Thrill 2.
