President Donald Trump appears to have roiled Arab and Muslim communities both at home and overseas with a post he made on social media.

Shared on Trump’s platform Truth Social, the post showed a video apparently created using A.I. that shows Trump sunbathing with Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at a resort labeled “Trump Gaza.”

The artificially-created video also features children running from piles of rubble to a luxurious area that features a huge golden Trump statue. Trump appears in the video watching a belly dancer, and it also features an apparent representation of Elon Musk being rained on by money.

Trump has previously floated the idea of the U.S. assuming control of the Gaza Strip and forcing the Palestinians who live there to relocate.

Faye Nemer, CEO and founder of the MENA (Middle East and North Africa) American Chamber of Commerce in Dearborn, Michigan, labeled the video “offensive and counterproductive to peace talks” in a statement to NPR.

Nemer says she voted for Trump in November but thinks he should remove the video and issue a “reconciliatory statement.”

“As President Trump has said, Gaza in its current state is [uninhabitable] for any human being,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly said in the statement to NPR when questioned about the video.

“President Trump is a visionary, and his plan to have the United States involved in Gaza's rebuilding will allow for Palestinians to resettle in new, beautiful communities while improving conditions in the region for generations to come,” she continued.
